LifeBook is a free Windows program that can be used to create encrypted diaries for any number of users. Write down your life and keep these memories. Forever. For you. For your children. Save memories and moments in texts, pictures, films, audios, etc. Write entries per day or for whole years. All content can be linked to one another for quick access. And all of this offline. On your device. Under your control!
With the general start page you can quickly jump to current as well as older content. Random entries lead to perhaps long-forgotten moments. The application is operated in the same way as a browser, with links, bookmarks, history, etc.
The program offers many views. Daily entries can, for example, be displayed individually, per month or selectively from a whole year. Years individually or in an overview of all annual entries that have already been made.
Date-independent entries can be used e.g. for friends, hobbies, recipes, family trees and so on, which then can of course be referenced from anywhere. Overall, almost every entry can be linked to almost all other entries.
With the help of the search function, content can be found in diary, annual as well as in link entries. You can search for one or more search terms, for whole words, for parts of words or for whole sentences. The search range for days and years can be restricted.
The integrated editor offers all the necessary functions for inserting pictures and references of all kinds. No technical details need to be considered.
Images, films, audio files and documents can be accessed quickly with the help of automatically generated overview pages. The integrated image viewer, video and audio player are used for convenient playback of all media without having to leave the application. The general layout, fonts, colors and keyboard shortcuts can, like many other things, be adapted and freely designed.
For those who prefer to read from top to bottom, a separate window can be opened in which the relevant entries are arranged vertically.
